According to Forrester Research, 75 percent of Internet users use social media, but less than half keenly participate and influence their communities. Making money from social media has been a challenge, but ‘Lotame’, a New York-business intelligence network and ‘iWidgets’ of San Francisco, have made inroads into this maze by targeting users when they’re in the right frame of mind.
